As the night went on, the shopkeeper, Mr Jenkins, seemed to be in a rush. But his hurriedness only slowed him down as he fumbled the keys.
"Fuck!" Jenkins cursed out loud, trying to pick up the keys. "Come on! Those Raven bastards could get here any moment for their 'protection money'. This wouldn't have been a problem if I had more Radian shards."
A couple of days ago, he had bought some Ratling mob drops at a ridiculous rate from a stranger and lost a lot of money because of it.
Jenkins was known for being the stingiest trader in the slums. That's why he couldn't comprehend why he bought things worth a few Lumen shards for Radian shards!
"I swear I'll kill that fucker if I see him again," Jenkin gritted his teeth while trying to pull the shutter down. "Fuck... I didn't even see his face then!"
