Hours upon hours of travel were necessary to exit the forest. Upon arriving at the Jade City's entry, the Young Master and his Personal Instructor switched places.
Ui Feng argued that traveling next to the Servant wasn't fit for the Young Master, that Zhao Laohu shouldn't be seen at the front of the carriage where merchandise and goods usually lay. The Young Master agreed, but Ui Feng hadn't expected to be the one placed there. Zhao would have liked to enjoy the Servant girl's company inside the cabin too, but leaving Ui Feng and the Disciples with Borara would have caused trouble. He settled on keeping the Disciples by his side. They were talkative, which was good. Although they usually talked about a whole lot of nothing and could do so for record-breaking amounts of time.
There was still the issue of the cabin's shattered windows, but there wasn't much that could be done about that.
Before the Young Master's objection, his Personal Instructor had ordered the Disciples to take off their robes, so as not to let it be known that the carriage was from the Ravenous One-Eyed Tiger Sect. But once Ui Feng exited the cabin, he did not take off his robe. This little detail went unnoticed by the Disciples, but it did make the Young Master chuckle.
They were approaching the Jade City from the West side.
Thanks to Lyu, the Young Master had learned a bit more about the City.
Two main roads cut the Jade City into four parts. The roads crossed at the center of the Jade City. Each of these parts was ruled over by different Sects.
In the South of the Jade City, the Winged Sects. They included the "Capricious Crane" and the "Soaring Hawk" Sects.
In the North, the Turtle Sects. Compared to the others, the name seemed harmless, but Lei was well aware that names were often misleading.
In the East, the Dragon Sects. The "Earth-Crouching Dragon" in which Lyu used to serve as Head Servant was kept in mind.
In the West, the Tiger Sect. The "Ravenous One-Eyed Tiger" of which he was a part of, as well as the "Flamboyant Vermillion Tiger" which had supposedly sent the assassins his way were the most notable for now.

The Young Master chuckled, which left the Disciples puzzled.
'Kills... Huh?' He thought to himself as gazed at the Jade City in the distance, its edges now visible.
The Jade City, even from the outside, was incredibly beautiful and different from any city Lei had ever had the pleasure of visiting.
Its size was incredible, but that was expected from a city plunged in darkness. He would only learn how truly large the Jade City was later on.
Lei thought of it as a "Horizontal City". The buildings were usually two stories tall at most, which he usually preferred. No skyscrapers, no overbearing height stacking and stacking to increase the number of people without taking more land. There was no unnatural light either, something that Lei was accustomed to, but hated.
Despite it being the middle of the night, the Jade City was shining. Hundreds and hundreds of lanterns lit up the area.
At first sight, there was nothing special about the city. Yet, Lei found it magical. His eyes were sparkling the same way that those of the Disciples would have in front of skyscrapers and 'modern' architecture.
Unfortunately, the Young Master had a lot to think about still.

The System didn't answer.

This normally would have been good news. But knowing what he knew now thanks to Lyu, it was certainly suspicious.
