Chris made a lot of gold from the trip. In the few days that Chris spent in the wild, he encountered a lot of monsters, which he was able to sweep easily, which in turn provided him with a lot of spoils. He earned a lot of gold, which when converted would yield him millions of cash for him to spend freely back on Earth.
By the time he returned to Frost City, he reached the required level to cross over to the next rank. He reached level 40 and can take the rank-up quest in order to further level up. Even though he could do that, he knew that the rank-up wouldn't be easy.
The rank-up quest would depend on the person of the person taking the quest.
Chris would face one of the hardest quests, which would most likely be a time-limited one. For a time-limited quest, once accepted the player had to complete the quest in the specified time.
