Chris spent the next two weeks doing nothing but mining the ore. He stumbled onto a treasure and it would be considered to be stupid if he left it alone in search of other resources.
The other resources might be occupied by other forces or he might not even find something as valuable as this in the next few days. This was an important factor because, before he entered the secret realm, Chris decided to not stay for long inside the secret realm.
This was so as not to attract the attention of the noble houses. The nobles might act righteous on the outside but not everyone is so on the inside. This was true for people of all categories but the nobles had the power to act recklessly without fearing consequences much, as long as they didn't provoke someone higher in rank or position.
You see no matter how righteous one appears to be, they were not always like that when there are treasures involved.
