After fighting for so long, Adam knew something was wrong with Gaston's vision. It felt as if nothing that entered his field of view could reach him. He had to strike him from his blind spot or render him unable to protect himself.
After bringing his nemesis to the ground, he climbed on him and pushed the shaft of his crystalline spear horizontally on his neck to keep him in place.
"Let's see how you protect yourself now. Haha." Adam laughed in revenge, encased in the shimmering aura of the light ward. After suffering so much, victory was finally within his grasp.
'Not good.' Gaston thought calculatively. Despite feeling his strength diminish, he was already thinking about how to turn the tables.
In the meantime, Adam raised his left hand, which was still clenching his Beastbane dagger, to deliver the final strike at the weakened and immobilised Gaston. He was grinning in victory.
