Gabriela eyed Vixen warily, hesitation written all over her face. "We visit Lombardi tonight? Senza l'okay dei capi? That's a one-way ticket to swimming with the fishes, amiga."
Vixen's jaw clenched, eyes narrowing to slits. "Stai zitto, Gabi. We don't got time for that beaurocratic bullshit." She grabbed her friend by the shoulders, staring her down intensely. "Mara's coverin' her tracks as we speak. It's now or never, capesce?"
Gabriela opened her mouth to protest, but the fire blazing in Vixen's eyes gave her pause. With a reluctant nod, she agreed to the reckless plan. "Okay, okay...just don't get us iced, eh? You're still banged up from your last tango with that pyscho Mara."
