Chapter 3 - The Other Self

He slipped the scissors in his pocket and walked away to get cleaning materials. He cleaned while they laughed and joked about the things they still wished to do to him.

They spent the entire day tormenting him, and he spent it contemplating whether or not he should just do it and get it over with.

It was finally time to go home, he was lucky this time to have finished before closing time. He was angry at himself for not doing anything.

Fuck. I'm such a coward and pathetic.

Hours passed and he was in his apartment, wearing a different and clean apron. He was using a saw this time to cut up the meat β€” the bones were just a bit stubborn.

Jonathan woke up the next morning with the same instruction in note form. He didn't question it, it was in his handwriting after all. He figured he may have been too tired to remember anything.

"Aggh. Is that hair?" He removed some from the sausage in front of him before tossing it in a frying pan.

He felt a lot tired than he usually did. This was most strange. He'd never gotten body aches two days in a row before, he was starting to question the nightmares that never seem to bother him when he was awake.

Jonathan was someone who dreamt up some of the most cruel things but he'd go on about his day like it was nothing.

He walked into the office with Scott cursing out loudly.

"That bitch, she probably quit didn't she?" Scott was annoyed because her work would be delegated to them.

He knew that Jonathan wouldn't be able to handle big loads and he'd have to actually start doing what he was paid for.

"Her? She barely had any qualifications for this job to begin with, where would she go?" Kyle mocked.

The bullying of course didn't cease just because they were a man down. It seemed to have worsened, because of the irritation that they had to work.

Jonathan felt hot anger, the anger from yesterday, no, the anger he had carried, all these years made its way to his head. Something seemed to switch in his mind.

He was walking past the toilet to cool himself down, as he couldn't concentrate on anything.

"What's going on, my head is throbbing..." He mumbled to himself.

He had almost walked past when he realised Kyle was in the staff toilet. The bump in his pocket made itself known. He'd almost forgotten the scissors.

Why do I still have these? He questioned and unwillingly entered the toilet.

Scott looked around the office, he'd been so focused in his work for the first time since coming to this office, that he didn't notice he was all alone.

"Dammit, didn't that idiot Kyle go to the toilet an hour ago? What's going on..." He got up from his chair, unsuspecting.

His bladder was full anyway, he was looking to empty it. He didn't expect to walk in on Jonathan dragging Kyle's body to the nearest stall. His head completely severed from the body.

"I always knew you were a freak." Scott said unable to stop himself walking towards the murderer.

Even in the face of danger all he thought about was being the cool one β€” or he underestimated Jonathan to that extent.

He didn't show any hints that he was scared, neither did Jonathan. When he realised he had company, he dropped the body on the tiled bloodied floor.

"Be careful, he may still be alive!" He shouted, not knowing what else to say.

"Are you an idiot? This body has no head attached to it any more β€” in any case, you shouldn't be worried about him. I've dreamed of a thousand ways I could kill you Scott Silver." Jonathan said in a monotonous voice.

In his anger, Scott didn't realise the floor was wet with blood. He took strides towards the short pig only to slip, Jonathan moved unbelievably fast and drove the knife he took from the kitchen across his torso.

The scissors didn't do the job well, so he settled for his usual β€” a knife.

Scott's insides decorated the floor in an instant.

This wasn't his style at all, he hated a mess. But in his anger that was the last thing on his mind.

Jonathan pushed them to the side, cleaned himself up a little and went back and sat at his desk. He wasn't doing any work, just stared at the computer.

When it was finally time to go home for the day, a woman walked out of her office, she thought everyone else had gone except for one employee.

He looked like a pig in her opinion, it seemed like the chair he sat on was complaining too. She recoiled at the memory of him asking her out once.

"Tch, this again."

She didn't say anything and walked straight to the staff toilet. Jonathan was already on his feet before her screams filled the entire building.

He shuffled towards the toilet, remembering the time he felt courageous and decided to ask her out. Her reaction was worse than any woman he'd ever asked. She acted like a monster with two heads and three eyes had attempted to talk to her.

The look in her eyes was complete and utter disgust. She had a 'how dare you even think you have a chance you ugly animal' expression on her face. Ever since then, Jonathan's self-esteem had plummeted to absolute zero.

He still made it a point to be nice to her though. She was her boss, and just because she rejected him in the most cruellest way, didn't mean his love for her faded.

She always gave him a hard time for staying beyond work hours, when she knew why but still didn't say anything. This made him see red as he walked towards the screams.

When he walked into the toilet she was fumbling her phone, dialing a number. She didn't look beautiful anymore, she was trembling, snort coming out of her nose.

"Who are you calling? Who am I kidding it's obviously the police isn't it." He said in an unusually cheery tone.
