Chapter 5 - System Details 2

"It's been five days." I sighed.

The moonlight drew a stretched shape of a window on the floor, and I halted before it.

I didn't know how many times I sighed.

Sometimes it reflected different emotions when I did.

But most of them were still negative.

I could not help but recall that I once desired to become a villain.

To live a normal life?!

As a villain?

Well, let me tell you why I thought of it.

But first, let me sit.

There was a sofa not far from me, and it reminded me of a royal couch. This place is really extravagant, right?

That's another reason I wanted to become a villain.

Ironic was… the villain I'm possessing the body for was the reason I desired to become a villain.

I just wanted to be like him.

Smart, stoic, noble, cool, and everything else I desired was something he possessed.

It was why I loved reading that author's work, even though I did not like the journey of the Main Character.

This villain had been portrayed since the start of the story, and he was the last villain.

There were many cases where the main character interacted with him because he wanted to change the villain.

A typical main character.

But the main character's ambition failed.

In the end, the villain became the last boss that almost wiped out humanity.

As though the author wanted him to become like that.

And so…

I stared at the black screen in front of me with white-colored fonts to see the text. The language was, of course, in English, but why I conversed with Sophie in a different language was because I integrated this body's memories.

The memories that contained his past that had never been mentioned by the author.

Honestly, I was surprised when I discovered that the villain I was possessing, who had been portrayed as the main villain and the last villain, was actually only a first-rate villain.

Yet, even so, I was beyond hopeless to discover that I had to deceive myself to be surprised.

Hence, in the end, I decided not to be so shocked about it.

I could only focus on contemplating who could be the main villain.

'Is that why he didn't end the novel? Who would have thought that I, I mean, this person is not the last villain? Who could it be?'

Just thinking about it is a headache.

Furthermore, this screen made me feel hopeless.

It reminded me of the blue screen of death on the PC, even though it was black.

The author really made this villain more pitiful than the main character.

The character traits alone already conveyed it.

I was deceived.

But then I could not help but wonder if the author was really talented at writing.

I finally realized why this first-rate villain was portrayed as such: enigmatic, cool, smart, and other things I liked about him.

Because of the Character Traits.

Character Traits:

Deceptive [You deceive everyone and yourself. Just like you delude everyone with your behavior and words, you do the same to yourself, especially in your emotions. This goes even stronger in your emotions, producing real emotions based on the judgment of your brain or by yourself. However, the Emotionless trait will be more dominant if you deceive yourself into getting rid of all of those emotions.]

Emotionless [You don't have emotion, and your heart is solid as stone. Killing with no remorse, laughing with no contentment, crying with no sorrow, widened eyes with no shock, all of your emotion was only produced by your imagination.]

Observant [You are keen. You can notice even a small movement of their finger and perceive the emotions they currently feel. Nothing can escape your eyes, and no one can detect your actions. All of your senses are heightened.]

Highly Intelligent [With a single glance at a single page containing convoluted contents that needed complete attention just to grasp a single word, you can comprehend it with no problem. You are also perceptive and deduce the thoughts of others with the aid of being observant. You are always confident in your assumption of others. That is, in yourself, you are not even aware you are deceiving even your conviction.]

Nyctophile [Being Emotionless is difficult. You don't feel love, happiness, anger, and other emotions, whether primary or secondary. But there will always be something that makes you comfortable. The cloak of the night, the embrace of shadows, and the gentle stream from the moonlight are your comfort zone.]

Heliophobia [Just like you love the shadow, you hate the sunlight from distinguishing the shadow. Furthermore, whenever the sunlight hits your skin, you feel nauseous, aversion to heat, and exasperation, causing you to cover your body from head to toe wherever you go outside. Fire and Light Elements are your nemesis.]

His noble bearing came from the existence of Heliophobia, which is the fear of the sunlight.

That's why I did not step into the moonlight.

Although its presence, the moonlight, was not related to the Nyctophilia Traits, I would still feel uncomfortable when it hit my skin.

This is also why I'm covered from head to toe.

If this noble strolled in the middle of the sun with his wheelchair, the umbrella was his savior.

Even when he was under the protection of the ceiling, he would wear a hat.

There was also this Deceptive Character trait that helped him to have the same countenance throughout the day, making him appear a cool person with a noble bearing.

Despite that, the Deceptive Character Traits have a drawback.

Not only could the villain deceive others, he could do the same to himself as well.

It should be why he turned into a monster and became the enemy of humanity.

The other three traits added points to why I like the villain, but I finally realized…

The meaning of being emotionless.

This is also the reason I did not panic when I transmigrated to this body.

I just accepted it.

For I have no choice.

Looking back to the black screen, I sighed again.

There was a Title there, and I don't know if I should be glad it existed or not.

I commanded to open the "Closed" word beside the Effect, and the descriptions then appeared, overshadowing other texts.

[Title: He who dies in the end.

Effect: Your death is inevitable to the main character, but as he is still growing, you can't die for anyone but him. You can perceive a death flag to prevent your death, and it will be effective until your destined demise.]
