"Why did she have this feeling so suddenly? since she was almost slaughtered by him." Shin asked while browsing his social networks on his cell phone.

He was trying to review the news broadcast minutes before he left the area where the alley and the demolished wall were located.

The boy looked at his own back and felt confused… since there were no sequelae after that impact.

"Well, I need to focus… I can't overthink this." Shin thought with a fixed gaze on the future.

He can't worry too much about what happened, he needs to focus on his studies and finding out even more about these unknown beings.

After the cab arrives at its destination, Shin opens the car doors and gets out.

"Get well and have a good rest, kid." Said the driver, looking at the steering wheel and holding his hands on it.

Shin did not react to that, he just returned the driver's thanks, and the car drove off after a few seconds.

"How did he know I was a bit off my head?" Thought Shin with a puzzled expression at the driver's action.

He felt comforted by this and made his way to his garden.

With a large bag, he put food in his pet dog's bowl.

"Enjoy, Ben." Shin said to his German Shepherd, and he walked over to his food bowl.

Shin starts petting his dog's head and his tail swings quickly to the side, indicating happiness after the food offered and his honest affection from his owner.

The boy then makes his way to the door of his house and opens the lock with his key under his mat.

After entering and closing the door, he notices that a large part of the floor is dirty, and even with his tired body… he can't rest seeing all the surrounding dirt.

What's more, he deplores disorganized things, as this would hinder his movement around the house and his day-to-day chores.

He went to the corner of the kitchen where there was a compartment on the floor and picked up the broom that was hanging there.

He then picked up his small shovel and left it on the kitchen worktop for later use.

Shin, with a calm mind, began to sweep the area around the kitchen, behind the bar table where he sat every day.

A few minutes later, sweeping most of the space, his phone started ringing.

Shin's face gradually becomes irritated, as he hates it when he is disturbed at an important moment like that.

However, he knows what his cell phone is capable of and does a little procedure.

He pulls the cord on the side of his smartphone and then throws it up.

Suddenly, his smartphone begins to levitate in front of Shin's face using the energy of oxygen.

The object itself gradually absorbs oxygen from the environment, and this causes the device to float as high as the person wishes.

However, this causes the battery to wear out over time, which is normal… but it's advantageous when you can't use your hands at inconvenient times.

After answering the call, the person calling Shin was his childhood friend who studied with him at Saturon University.

His name was Jing, he was 18 years old, had spiky red hair with black eyes, and was brown-skinned due to his family's American ancestry.

He started shouting into the phone, which startled Shin as the call mode was on loudspeaker at maximum volume.

He was addicted to theories, while Shin was more addicted to knowledge... sounds like a good pair, but it's not.

Jing worriedly asked his best friend what had happened to him.

"I just got sick and couldn't make it to college, Jing." Shin replied in a calm tone of voice to try to ease the fright Jing had given the boy.

However, Jing had a slight question mark over the answer coming from his best friend... since it was unusual for him to be absent from college even though he was suffering from health problems or something similar.

"Are you sure that's what it was, buddy? It's not common for you to give reasons for missing class since you're so committed." Jing asks with a strong emphasis on a quality that only Shin possesses, unlike many students in his class.

However, Shin knows how to hide his deep motives where they wouldn't be discovered from the slightest gaps in his words.

"Yes, I'm being honest with you, because this is different from all the others… and it involved my mother in the middle, so there's nothing to worry about." Shin replied with all the details that Jing would never find holes in.

His best friend then had no more to say and said he would talk to him another time about other more common matters to not disturb his time at home.

Shin understood this very well and thanked Jing for his concern at that time, when it was already 8:57 in the evening.

He ends the call and puts his cell phone down on the living room table.

The house is finally clean after a quick sweep by the boy, and then he heads up to his room.

Shin begins to take off his clothes and is left with only his light sleeping pants.

The lights in the house start to turn off automatically, and Shin slips into bed quietly.

He arranges his blanket so that it's snug against his body and his window is closed with only the glass exposed for a good night's sleep in the moonlight.

Shin's eyes suddenly close, and he falls into a deep sleep where he would logically be at peace without anyone harming him after that incident.

But he was wrong.
