Adeline! Dimitri's eyes flew open, and he quickly jackknifed himself on the bed, but as soon as bone-chilling aches and pain hit him all over his body, he squeezed his eyes shut, groaning in pain. "Fuck!!!"
Varvara quickly hurried up the stool to attend to him. "Are you okay? Should I call the nurse?"
Dimitri shot her a withering glare.
"Where the hell is Adeline?!" he questioned.
Varvara drew her head back, glowering. "She's the first person you ask about…the second you wake up?" She was in disbelief. "Dimitri, I'm your wife."
