Chapter 23 - Meddled Disputes

"Descendants of fallen Filora and Gilda, the two of you have committed countless assaults against the forces of holiness. It's time to receive your judgment," the man said as he extended his hand toward Filora and Gilda, causing the space in that area to tremble.

Filora and Gilda hurriedly swung their wings and flew away from where they were.

Sweeping away, an ominous sound came from the space where they were before as they moved away.

"Humph! Don't act all mighty in front of us, slave of judgment," said Filora as she flew toward the man with lightning speed, a few sparks of lightning appearing around her body as well.

"Dispute between fallen and angels existed even in ancient times, so what's the point of targeting the two of us like this?" said Gilda as she followed Filora.

At that moment, Gilda's wings grew in more length and the air around her began to tremble, and the speed of her flying increased.

"Because you meddled in something you shouldn't," said the figure as he leaped back toward the air, without even wings, he levitated upon the space.

Hyah!

Filora, with her speed and lighting swing her hand as she arrived toward the figure, but the man suddenly vanished from where he was, and in the next second, he appeared in front of Gilda.

Haa!

In a quick reaction speed, Gilda swung her wings toward the man, and from her wings, a few wind blades flew toward him.

But the man disappeared in an instant and next appeared way above the sky, facing the other side to the two of them.

"I was told to make this quick," muttered him, and suddenly...

Crik!

Something like a glass shattering occurred as in the white space, an illusory mirror-like effect appeared all around behind the Holy man.

In the next second, as good as Gilda and Filora gazed toward them with a confused and fearful gaze, the glass-like things shattered, and a golden halo chains flew through the air toward Filora and Gilda.

The two of them swung their wings and flew away, but the chains were almost as fast as them and there were too many.

"Aghh!" Within a few minutes, Filora's scream reverberated through the air as one of the sharp chains pierced her skin. The sound of her scream even reached the ears of Akiel.

"Is that Filora?" I didn't have time to look toward the sound direction as after a long time of moving away in the space, I finally landed on the ground.

Thud - Aww - it felt painfully when falling down. After falling, I rolled a few times and finally stopped, facing the ground. I laid there for a few seconds to ease up the pain I felt in my body.

Thump!

At the same time, I heard another sound, feeling like something fell closer to me.

Huh? Lifting my head, I looked toward what it was and saw that it was my item bag.

Seeing it, I hurriedly stood up and ran to grab it, and while grabbing it, I looked toward where the screaming sound came from.

What I saw was Filora, who was pierced by the chains.

"Evil bitch, serves you right," even though I didn't know who the figure was that appeared and attacked them, I felt satisfied seeing him doing what I couldn't to her.

As Filora was suffering with chains piercing her skin, Gilda was the one left, fleeing with the chains that followed behind her.

But her speed of flying through the air was something amazing, as she was extremely fast with her movements.

Avoiding all the chains coming toward her, she flew toward Filora and extended her hand to save her.

But right before she grabbed Filora's hand, the man who was above the sky disappeared from where he was and appeared closest to Gilda as he grabbed her from her extended hand.

"You have great efficiency with wind. Interesting. Let me see how much a fallen can keep up with an real angel," he said, and in the next second...

Boom!

With a booming sound filling the air, the man started running, dragging Gilda from her hand all around the space.

I saw the shadowy sight of his incredible speed in the air he was running.

"What am I seeing?" I couldn't believe someone could move like that, and after a few minutes of looking, I noticed that there were a few blood stains left behind in the white radiance space as the figure moved.

And the source of those blood is definitely not the man.

Boom! Boom!

With every turn the angel took, that sound reached the ears of Filora, who was struggling to get free from the chains that pierced her.

For some reason, as soon as they pierced her, she couldn't use her lightning, which made her extremely weak. With a sigh, she looked toward the shockingly fast figure moving around the area.

Boom!

Suddenly, the sound of air swung around came from right next to her, and she saw that the figure was standing right next to him, holding Gilda, who had a deformed face and body.

Her face was mangled, and the back toward her sequelled future, her skin was akin to someone forcefully pulling them back.

"You fucking bastard, what did you do to Gilda?" said Filora with an extremely angry voice and face, but the man didn't pay an eye toward her.

"As I thought, you're all nothing worth more than an annoying bug," the man said, throwing away Gilda from his hand.

"Take the two of them to the judgment hall," he said, and suddenly, through the space, figures of angelic women appeared.

They had radiant and beautiful wings on their backs, dressed in similar clothes color to the man but in a female version. There was some golden color to their appearance, which made them appear more attractive and dignified.

As they appeared, they grabbed Gilda, who was tossed into the air and some pulled filora from by the chains piercing her.

"What about the remaining?" among those angel women, one looked down toward the half-broken castle and asked the man.

"No need to leave anything behind," said the man, preparing to fly up. But at that moment, he suddenly stopped and looked down toward the broken castle.

Crik!

Opening a door to Filora's room, which was almost destroyed but miraculously, only the door survived, the witch stepped forward slowly as she walked toward the exploded room.

Ardia looked around and saw the completely destroyed room.

"Oh my my, what has my castle done to deserve this," she muttered.

At that moment, the man who was up in the sky slowly flew toward the ground and landed, while the other female figure stayed up in the air.

Different from when dealing with Filora and Gilda, the angels had a respectful face in this moment.

"Are you..."

"Yes, I'm who you think I am," without even looking at the angel, Ardia replied, still looking at the destruction of the room.

"I apologize for what I have done to your castle, but I had to make sure that they cannot escape. But please let me fix this now," saying the figure snapped his fingers, and in the next second, all the shattered parts of the room that spread around the air were pulled back and joined to make the room whole again.

In a few seconds, the castle returned to how it originally was, without even a mark of damage done to it by the explosion caused by the angelic man.

"And I'm sorry about canceling your spell and disrespecting you. Let me fix it too," said the man. As he snapped his fingers again, suddenly the whole castle dispersed, the white radiance taking over, leaving the angelic man floating in the air.

Huff!

After all of that dispersed, the man sighed, feeling relieved.

"Lahark, is that the..." one female angel, hovering above the air, closed in toward the man after the castle disappeared, asking.

"Yes, she's one of the four ancestor witches. If I'm right, they respect her as the witch of forbidden knowledge. We are lucky she didn't get angry for what we've done," the angel said, and after that, he looked back toward the female angels.

"Let's go, our task is done," he said, poised to leave.

"Fuck," because I was focused on what was happening, I didn't come back to my senses until the castle of the witch disappeared right in front of my eyes.

What's going to happen to me now? My only option is to ask them for help, but they seem to be preparing to leave too. I have to hurry up.

With all my strength, I ran toward the angelic figures and screamed toward them.

"Wait!"
