This process of gene alteration used large amounts of energy. This energy was not mana but different and unknown. Usually, when specimens took the geno serum and altered their genes, they unknowingly tapped from this energy source.
If the process Gabe was going through used mana it would have caused a disturbance as his body would have sucked up mana rapidly, and it would have alerted Beatrice making her know that something was going on.
Beatrice was still standing over the body of Gabe relishing the aroma of blood gushing out from her fresh kill. Willow and Cole who were still in pain glared at her at her with murderous gazes. If eyes could kill, she would have been cut into thousands of pieces.
After she came down back from whatever high she took, she set her sight on Cole.
"To tell you the truth, your uncle, Gordon, wants you dead, but that's not why I want to kill you, no, I want to kill you because I don't like your face and your actions cost me my eye, so be a good boy for once and stay still, let me take good care of you", Beatrice said.
She was about to take a step forward when something grabbed her leg and tripped her. She fell hard to the floor because of the force her leg was pulled with. Before she could understand her current predicament she felt extreme pain on her chest as something had hit her hard, sending her sliding a good distance away on the floor.
The spell that she had cast was finally broken and an expression of relief could be seen on Cole's a Willow's faces. The torture had ended.
They and Beatrice looked up to see and try to understand what had happened and when they did they saw Gabe. He was the one who had just given her a devastating combo.
They were all shocked because they saw him die, even he was shocked himself. He knew he died, he even saw his life flash before his eyes and it was a very short life.
While Cole and Willow were trying to recover from Beatrice's attack, and Beatrice trying to recover from his, he started observing himself to see if he could spot any change.
"Hmmm, I still have no right arm, I thought with me coming back to life every inch of my body would be restored, or am I a zombie? I thought zombies were mindless, well I am clearly thinking".
He was still talking to himself when he observed something. It was like a little red dot flashing. He turned to see what it was but the light also moved according to the movement of his eyes.
Next, he tried focusing on it and then some information flooded his mind.

* Host needs to feed on blood to heal and regenerate...
* Calculating time for Host to enter a blood frenzy

* Blood frenzy mode activated.
Immediately the timer in his head hit one, he fell to the floor feeling an intense hunger like never before.
All his senses were now heightened, his canines became fangs, and his pupils dilated to the point it covered his whole eyes making them turn pitch black.
The others were wondering what had happened to him again.
Cole and Willow having recovered withdrew a good distance away from Beatrice. The position they took was also a good distance away from Gabe as they did not know what was happening and if he was really himself and they also gave each other a good distance as no one trusted the other.
'Those eyes and fangs can only mean one thing. How the hell did he become a vampire? Was carrying out these experiments on the supposed specimens the right call because I can say for sure that they played a huge role in the transformation I am seeing now'. Beatrice thought.
She was still thinking when Cole shot a fireball at her which she easily blocked.
Cole after doing that turned to Gabe and spoke.
"Gabe, if it is really you then I am sure you know who the biggest threat in this room currently is, in terms of magic power she should roughly be on the same level as your witch girl over there but she has a lot of experience under her belt, I think it's best to..."
He wasn't even done talking when Gabe disappeared from his current position. What everyone saw next including Beatrice was her arm tracing an arc in the air before landing a few places away from her.
"Aaaah" she gave a gut-wrenching scream.
Cole and Willow were shocked by what they had just witnessed but for different reasons. Willow was amazed at the display of strength and speed she saw while Cole could not believe that such a gut-wrenching scream would ever be produced by the renowned lady Beatrice.
Beatrice then cast a movement spell to give herself some space away from Gabe. With her face twisted in pain, she glared at Gabe and one could see that she wanted to rip him apart in the worst possible way.
'My chances of winning are pretty low now. There is no need to fight a losing battle'.
This was the thought she had as she planned to escape, swearing in her heart never to forget the events of that day as she would have her revenge.
What seemed to be a bracelet on her wrist glowed and then a device appeared out of nowhere, but before she could do anything with it Gabe still arrived beside her like he teleported grabbed her arm, and landed a solid hit to her ribs. The difference in the power level between them was very obvious now.
With the difference in their power levels very clear now and Beatrice knowing there was no escape for her, she opted to self-destruct.
Normally she knew many spells that could greatly increase her power temporarily but they all came at a great price. With the way she she was all beat up, if she attempted such she would most likely die before accomplishing anything. Since she was going to die anyway, why not drag the others across the River Styx into the underworld with her.
She started laughing out loud with a crazed expression but was immediately silenced by a huge bite to her neck by Gabe who started sucking her blood greedily in an attempt to satisfy his intense hunger and stop what she planned to do.
Beatrice still had a smile on her face when she felt something wrong.
* Blood drain skill activated...
* Lifeforce drain skill activated...
It seemed that as Gabe sucked her blood, he was also draining her life force away.
All sorts of emotions flashed on her face as she knew this was the end, she could not even deal with little children and they got the best of her.
A random memory crossed her mind.
'Why am I thinking of this now, I guess this is the end'.
After Gabe was done his blood lust had subsided and then he discovered that his arm which was missing had regenerated.
