"Oh… I've been really busy and forgot to visit." Su Yu randomly thought of an excuse.
"Come, sit." Mrs. Qin patted the seat beside her. Su Yu removed his jacket, revealing a stylish, Chinese-style shirt and sat down beside his mother.
"You went drinking?" Mrs. Su asked upon smelling the reek of alcohol on her son.
"Mhm." He nodded.
Then, she passed him a peeled apple. "Have some fruit."
Su Yu took the apple, bit into it, and slowly leaned back on the couch…
"Yu… I saw the news today," Mrs. Su slowly said in a soft tone.
"Oh…" Su Yu responded nonchalantly.
"Are you sad?"
"What do you think?" Su Yu smiled bitterly as he took a giant bite from the apple.
