Huo Mian hadn't heard from Rick for a few days so she thought he had left China already.
"Oh, Rick, you're here. Honey, why didn't you tell me earlier? I didn't prepare anything!" Huo Mian said in a surprised tone.
"He can eat whatever we have at home. Rick's in a rush. He's leaving in his helicopter in two hours…"
"Two hours… Why the rush?" Huo Mian said in astonishment.
Rick nodded. Then, he took off his black coat and sat silently at the dinner table.
When he saw the four dishes on the table, Rick smiled and said, "Huo Mian, did you make all these?"
"Yeah. You don't believe me?" Huo Mian joked.
"No, I believe you. Qin Chu said your cooking skills were impressive. I can tell my stomach will be very satisfied tonight…" Rick was very casual in front of them.
Huo Mian, however, felt a bit awkward seeing Rick.
"It's such a shame Pudding and Little Bean aren't home…"
