President Grant decided to go on a trip to surprise the siblings. He had a meeting with the Prime Minister of The Spanish Kingdom. Before the meetup, he made a detour to his children's home without making an announcement. He made sure that he was incognito as not to attract reporters and for the First Lady not to be able to learn about where his children now resided.
