Chapter 39 - I Finally Found You

As they listened more to her, each of them felt like they were learning much faster than when the teachers are the ones teaching them.

All she was saying were simple ones. Anyone could have heard of it anywhere in their day to day life. But when it comes from her, they felt like it was in a whole new level that they should follow.

"So the reason both of you are that strong was because you always do this in the mansion?" Kaito asked.

He had a lot of sparring time with these two and he could see that they were still holding back when it comes to sparring with him.

"We trained more than doing other day to day usual things," she replied simply.

They trained a lot to reach the point where they are now. But when compared to what people normally do in a daily manner, she could say that they indeed trained more than any of it.

Though their hundreds of years of life were also the greatest factor for this strength that they have.

The four pondered over her words as they return to their classroom.

"I finally found you."

Daiki who was in a different room, a room isolated from everything, was startled when someone suddenly walked in and talked.

He furrowed his brows as he looked at the man who just welcomed himself in and sat on the chair opposite him.

The room was well lit but the books all over the floor made it look dark and cramp.

"Wow, why does it feel like this room is a mini library?" Hiro looked around and commented.

Finally snapping out of his shock, "What are you doing here?"

There was a hint of irritation in Daiki's face as he asked.

He can see how easygoing this person is, he also heard of what he had done a while ago. The training he gave the students and the fact that he was able to do it so easily.

A slight pang of jealousy came to him, he was just like Hiro in the past. He can run as much as he want without getting too tired. He can do so many things that gains him a lot of amazed look.

Yes that was him in the past.

But now…

"I have no friends and you are the closest to my age," Hiro replied not minding the tone he used towards him.

Daiki squinted his eyes, "We are ten years or so apart, there are others who are closer to your age than I am."

"Indeed but they are not as interesting as you are," Hiro's nonchalant look turned serious as he said this looking at all the papers surrounding Daiki.

The reason he chose this place was because of its solidarity.

"You knew this would happen? Why still do it?"

"Where did your brain go?"

"You just wasted your talent!!"

"I never thought there was a genius who was actually an idiot."

Those words and many more were thrown at him when he became a non player.

It was true that he overestimated himself back then thinking that he was still young, he still has a lot of time.

After hearing so many words of degradation, he just wanted the silence. And so Toyama gave him this room allowing him to have the peace he wanted while doing his own research not divulging anything to anyone.

"Get out," he said instantly the moment he heard Hiro said that he found him interesting.

"Did I say something wrong? I apologize for that. I only said I find you interesting because of the books surrounding us, most were about the people who became non players."

Hiro raised his hand as he said honestly, plus this was the real reason he had to approach this person. He was a non player to whom the neglected number appeared.

"I am very much interested with this topic you see," he continued for he knew that if he were unable to have any progress today, Astra would surely kick him out of the apartment and worst she might beat him up.

Thinking this way, he stood up and picked up a book.

It was a diary, it couldn't even be called a book for it was too thin. But this diary contains the experience of one of those who became non players in the past.

"I just felt like these people had experienced something unprecedented, some even claimed that their physical strengths improved greatly or their vision becoming better and better."

He looked back at Daiki who was not looking at him, "It was like they gained strengths of different sorts in exchange for their capability of using the elements disappearing."

Daiki was obviously stunned by his words, for that was part of the things he noticed. Though he was also searching for someone who ended up like him.

Someone who can see the real strength of one person.

"I guess you two are really siblings," he commented.

Though he knew that Astra was hiding her real strength, he can see a different aura on her. An aura he never saw from anyone, something he couldn't fathom.

And now he can see it to Hiro as well, Hiro wasn't hiding his strength so he eliminated the thought of the aura was due to Astra hiding her real strength.

Hiro remembered what Astra said, that this person might not be as simple as someone to whom the neglected number appeared.

For even their bodies in the land weren't related to one another at all.

They indeed said that they are siblings, Astra had told her friends that they grew up in one place but this information was never divulged to the school.

Daiki seemed so sure that they are blood related sibling. For him to say this only means he found something only he can find.

"Well, we are both good looking but I wonder how you came up with that?" he asked in a nonchalant manner placing back the book he picked up.

Daiki watched him closely, his things, he wanted them to where they left them. He didn't want other people fixing it for he will forget just where they were once he starts looking.

And not to his irritation, Hiro returned it to its original place and if he was not mistaken, it was placed in the same position as when he picked it up.

Something he shrugged off for it was not really important.

When Hiro returned to the sit opposite him, Daiki no longer cared about him.

He can see that this person was someone who wouldn't budge if others tell him to, a willful one. So he will just leave him to whatever it is he wanted to do.

At the same time, Daiki has no plans of answering Hiro's last question. For even the president of the school didn't know the changes that happened to him after he became a non player.

This was a secret he never divulged to anyone for it was unprecedented.

Plus there are a lot of people in the dark side of the world, he may end up becoming an experimented person.

After reading as many books and documents as possible, not once did he read about someone who became like him, improved strength, improved eye sight, improved hearing.

And most of all was the fact that he could see the aura of the players together with their real strength.

Most of what he read and saw were only improvement in one sense, sight or touch or strength.

That is why they were brushed off as normal for they were players in the past.

Hiro, seeing as Daiki no longer has the desire to throw him out, already considered this as a step and so he just happily ate and once he was done, still having time, he started reading the books that Daiki collected.

Daiki silently observed him but didn't say anything more.
