When Emery woke up, he was in the room they used to sleep in the mansion, the fireplace was lit, the night was already high and the rest of the group were already sleeping.
"Finally, you woke up," Johnathan said, touching Emery's face only to feel the warmth of the human's skin who was no longer feverish.
Emery blinked a few times as he looked at the pretty face with its delicate features, the black hair that was now pulled back in a thick braid, and the delicate eyebrows that were slightly raised by the frown.
"Without the mask?" Emery asked, sitting with his back to the wall, he watched Johnathan's precise actions in making a pot of coffee on the fireplace.
"It's not necessary with you anymore," he said nonchalantly, not looking at Emery who was sitting weakly but who earlier there was nothing weak about the human.
