When Yuan Xuelan waved goodbye to the kids and the old grandma he noticed that the sky had shifted.
Some of the darkened clouds had cleared, leaving little patches where glimmers of moonlight and starlight could shine through. It was as if time only elapsed once he completed the key points of the quest or something.
Extremely odd.
Ban Yuewei walked in front of him. He followed her down the dark road. That nagging anxiety was still in his heart. When he tried to connect with his beloved on the other side, all Yuan Xuelan got was a whir of chaos and adrenaline. Something was going on…but he didn't have the luxury to fret.
Moving forward was more important. Only then could he chance upon his beloved again.
