The servants drew open the curtains and sunlight filtered through the room.
The man sleeping on the bed groaned as he flipped to the other side and covered his face with the blankets.
Old Master Qin glanced at the servants before he tilted his gaze towards the jug of water on the bedside table.
Both the servants shivered yet they stepped forward. While one removed the blanket that Alex was clutching over his head, the other emptied the jug of water on his face.
Alex sat up on the bed, gasping for breath. His hands tried to clutch something for support, only to end up swinging in the air.
"How dare you!" he snarled when he saw the jug in the servant's hand.
Old Master Qin cleared his throat.
Alex stiffened, ''Grandpa…'' He turned to look at the old man who was smiling at him amicably. But that amicable smile gave him goosebumps.
