"I'm not going to make it!" shouted Sylvia when she realized that the descending ball of fire was moving too quickly.
"I–it's an attack!"
A cry echoed one more and the red lights took over the city and the siren blared, alarming the people of what had happened.
"We're under attack!? What the fuck!?":
"Dammi, is it the daemons again!? Who the hell thought that it was a good idea to bring them along anyway!?"
Many screamed in irritation as they prepared their weapons. To think it would be another siren warning them of another attack. Disturbed from their post, whether they were sleeping, eating, drinking, or in the act of consummating what could be their final night, many were inconvenienced by the blaring siren.
But soon even their hearts started to feel dread when they did not even know what was coming. With it was the rise of the temperature. The metal spoon became hot to the touch, ice became water, and water started to boil.
