The appearance of the Black Scaled Sea Serpent was nothing but an intermission that did nothing but prove the Beast of Penance's strength. Now that they saw the power of the beast, they were beginning to further doubt. And doubt led to even more fear and that led to them watching as the Beast of Penance opened its mouth and directed it towards them.
The light became brighter and brighter until it was blinding. And as the Beast of Penance was about to unleash the same blast that erased the upper half of the Sea Serpent, a voice reached the ears of those who had been afraid.
