The prattling of a mortal posing as a God came to be drowned by fire. The entire Island was scorched by these crimson flames. It hastened the destruction of the land. It could not be endured by the land. Yet despite its grandness, it never touched those in the midst of their confession.
An invisible force protected them. They would not die until their sins are lifted from their bodies and souls. Only then would peace be achieved. Only they could be given retribution. The Beast of Penance knew not the fool that presented itself before it. Possibly another fool who deigned to pose as another Divinity. But it did not matter. Its existence was now erased. To be forgotten as a pest that arrived to mess with the flow of punishment.
"That's not nice. You asked me to do this…well, it would make sense that you would attack me if that is the case."
