Thane watches Cali walk away with a knowing smirk of his own before asking "Are you okay?" I give him a small smile before saying "He seems to have a special talent in pissing me off and getting under my skin."
Thane chuckles and says "It's because you care so much about him. It's the same for him as well and for the record, he feels like shit for confronting you like that." I smile sadly at the ground before turning and walking towards the woods.
As we walk, I look up at the grey sky and say "I feel bad for snapping at him like that." Thane takes my hand and says "I know. You two just really care about each other and want to do everything you can to help each other. You just don't always choose the best ways to express it."
I nod in agreement before softly saying "I think the first snow is coming." Thane 'Hmmms' in agreement as we continue to walk hand in hand. "The town is also starting to talk about us..." I softly say stepping over a large rock.
