When I walk into the room, Gyles has a weird expression on his face. I see my phone on the bed next to him. I didn't keep it there when I left. I drop the tray on the table next to the bed. It is almost like he hasn't noticed me.
He is just staring into space. His eyes are open but it feels like he is not really here. I start to worry because I remember what Beau told me about him. he said I should check on him. make sure he is alright. He doesn't look alright right now.
"Hey, you okay?'' I ask him.
He jumps up from the bed the minute I touch him. his hands are shaking. What happened when I left him.
"Uh…" he breathes out. His eyes shift to me as he gets up from the bed "I need some fresh air,'' he tells me, walking in the direction of the door.
I look at him and then at the tray of the food "What happened? We were going to eat lunch.'' I remind him.
