Chapter 50 - Power Play

Fear had always been the most common emotions that every other human being experiences. Apart from a twin's, every single soul in the room felt fear seeping through their skin pores as Chin Mae spoke.

Kang Chin Mae's calm-mocking look made him look like a reincarnation of something powerful out for blood to quist his thirsty-vengeance.

Ko Yon could not help but hug her son tightly, worrying about his well-being. But she was surprised when her son pats her to comfort with his good arm. She realised that her son was not scared of his cousin but there was something else worrying him.

Ko Yon felt that her son changed. It was for the better. He was someone who stood by his thoughts and voiced his opinion since childhood. He ended up in so much trouble when he was in Moon Mansion for it. But he stopped it when the family cut him off. Like a good little bystander, he usually put his head down and preferred not to interfere in the problem before him.

But now, he was trying to calm his mother, and something else was going on his mind. His mother was sure that her son changed but not sure in what aspect.

She was startled when she heard her father-in-law's heartless words.

"Thank you for taking care of my grandson in my absence. I will take him away along with my grand-daughter now." Moon family's old master said resolutely.

Moon Chin Hae, who was quiet for a while, spat at the spineless old man. "Did you take a wrong medicine or lost your marble due to old age? Choi Na Ri would ruin their life in that cursed family!"

Anger rolled of the old master and his hostile aura was deliberate to everyone in the room. "I will protect them!"

The twin stood by on their spot, not even slightly intimidated by the hostile aura of the old man. They grew up with BB, who was called as king of hell for various reason. Twin's had witnessed BB destroying people just for getting on his wrong side since they were teenagers. There were times they also helped him finish them off legally. For them, this old man's hostility felt like an ant bite.

Chin Hae let out a loud laugh. He found his grandfather's words humorous, and the past memory taunted him. "Protect them? Like how you protected me when I was accused of molestation even though everyone knew I did not do it. Or when your wife and son threatened my mother to sign the divorce document and give up every right, she had on her kids and the right even to meet us. When she refused, your wife picked my twin brother and threw him off the building. You will protect them like how you protected back then? Or like how you turned a blind eye to your family's deed when they did not let her even run to her bleeding son until she signed the document. Please enlighten me which way you are going to protect my sister and cousin? Or pray to tell me if you even have any intension to protect them."

Old master felt guilty for not standing by the family when they needed but he was determined not to let their revenge swallow his family. So all he could do was throw his weight at his two weak grandchildren and daughter-in-law. "I decided. We are leaving now. Follow me out this minute."

Moon Chin Hae held his sister's hand and refused to let it go when he saw how the spineless old man commanded his sister.

"You walked into a beast's den without even knowing what kind of beast he is. Now don't ever dream of leaving the place as you wish. All I had to do was wake the beast up and put a request. He will shred the entire Moon family into pieces. I heard you already tasted his fist long back when you wanted the school to dismiss Chin Hae." Kang Chin Mae looked at the old man in front of him as if he was nothing.

Kang Chin Mae knew in the heart that if he did not have anything to hold against the old man, he might not be able to protect his sister, whom he knows nothing about and the cousin brother whom he vowed to protect at all cost. But he did have a plan to turn the wave in his favour and started his plan when no one noticed.

He did not expect the way Young Jae handled the situation.
