When the old physician arrived, he saw two very nervous parents-to-be sat in the crown prince's study, waiting for him. Mr. Vitas was wondering if something bad happened to the baby.
"Your Highness," he greeted them politely. "Is something the matter?"
Mars got up from his seat and welcomed the old physician. He tried to look calm so as not to make his wife worried.
"Well... we would like you to check on Emmelyn's pregnancy and tell us how it is doing," he said.
Mr. Vitas nodded. He approached Emmelyn and check her pulse. Then, he turned to them and smiled. "Everything seems fine."
"Oh..." Emmelyn pressed her lips when she heard that. She and Mars exchanged glances. Surely Mr. Vitas wouldn't lie, right?
"Did.. something happen?" Mr. Vitas asked them.
Emmelyn sighed and slowly she told him what happened and how worried they were. The old man only smiled when he heard their concerns.
