Anyone who could see the heavens above them, especially those close to it, heard and saw the crack in the sky. Even those by the sea witnessed the appearance of such a large fissure in the sky. Many mortals believed that it marked the end of the world.

"Have you seen the sky?"
"Yes, it's like a broken mirror. You can see another world above!"
"Is that what is beyond the sky above? But how did the sky break?"
"The world is ending! The world is finally ending! We are all sinners! The gods no longer wanted to protect us!"
