Chapter 40 - MYS 40 What did I do wrong?

MYS 40

...

"It's your fault that you live in this world. Breathe with the same oxygen as me. Wrong school here. It's your fault that you're beautiful, coquettish, pretentious everything. Do you think that all boys will submit to you?" the girl gasped.

Take a few seconds to digest. Am I that insulted? Then who is the boy in question? My feeling is that I only hang out with class... seniors in badminton don't think anyone is handsome? Does she like Adam?

"Continue..."

"There are still a lot of questions...from this moment stay away from my Jonathan!" kata mbak Septi insisted. His hand was already holding the collar of the uniform.

"You can speak well, Jono. After all, he pretends to be taken if his son wants to be with a girl. With genuine behavior like this?" I sighed, holding back laughter.

So, everything I've been through, the bad thing, the terror without a trace of the perpetrator is because it's close to Jono, Ana's neighbor who unfortunately I'm in the same class as him?

"Just laugh. You think it's funny?"

"Very. Very funny, madam. I don't have anything with Jono anyway."

"You think I believe? Why is Jonathan always smiling brightly when you're near you?"

"Huh? It's her right to smile, laugh or be angry. What's my business?"

"Don't worry. You like Jonathan too, don't you?"

"No," answer me directly. "It's good to judge without any basis..." I added, trying to get his hands off the collar.

"Your brain is stupid or doesn't it have anything in it?" said Septi, who shouted ready to slap me. His right hand is up, it only takes a second to reach the left cheek.

But...a big hand-held Septi's movement.

"Mbak Septi... stop." Jono's voice sounded different than usual. The hand holding Septi's hand immediately pulled her away from me.

"Jona-than..." said Septi squeaked awkwardly. The girl was embarrassed to be caught red-handed. He couldn't even look at Jono or me or anyone else.

"Are you satisfied with doing this? You have misunderstood Anggi if you want to know." Jono's voice was calm but managed to make Septi's guts shrink.

"What's the misunderstanding, Jonathan? Every time you're with him you look happy... while you just reject me? I'm not pretty, are you trying? Three times you've rejected me." squeaked Septi, suddenly looking up to challenge Jono.

"That's why I said earlier that it was a misunderstanding..."

"But..." said Septi interrupted

"I have a girlfriend. Her name is Karen. Regarding Anggi, I consider her a friend, just like Ana." explained John. Managed to surprise us.

How come... how come I never knew Jono had a girlfriend named Karen?

Quickly, I swung my feet out of the canteen, which was boisterous with children watching free shows in the style of teen FTV. He went to class first to take his bag and then half-ran towards the shower behind the school mosque.

The shower, located not far between the mosque and the school's rice field area, is usually used for bathing by children after finishing field practice, especially when going to the fields. The shower is more effective at removing rice field mud than entering the bathroom where the bucket there is small, it will take a long time to clean the body compared to bathing under the shower.

Fresh, even my brain feels refreshed and gradually cools just by being showered with water. Forget me who is on my period, forget everything that gets wet. Forget for a while.

Standing for a long time made me squat, still showered with water. Still trying to calm down. All this time I felt cheated. If only...if only...

"Anggi... I'm sorry." Ana, who has been standing not far for some time, opened her voice. One of his hands handed me a towel but I refused to accept it.

"You're not wrong. So you don't have to apologize at all." I was already feeling good, now it's like being provoked again.

"No, Anggi... I should have told you about Septi."

"That's how it should be if you consider me a friend." I half screamed, making Ana back off in surprise.

"Ngh..."

"Yesterday you accused me of going out with Budi while on the other hand there was a girl who pretended to be beautiful and accused me of liking Jono to the point of being close to him! I'm like an idiot, Ann. Being treated like that without knowing the situation... how does it feel? Can you imagine it?"

"Sorry, Anggi."

"If only you said that from the start. I won't be near Jono for your sake...so that you don't be rescheduled by him. So that you can play basketball safely, at least until he graduates.

"That's what I don't want to sacrifice for something like that."

"But what are the consequences? You see if only you could think of me as a friend who is a real friend."

"Anggi...don't say that, please." Ana's voice is pitiful. I can't bear to have to say, what's so hard about telling me?

"Come on, Ann. Leave me alone. I want to calm down."

"Jono asked me...you can't just be alone."

"Why do you have to bring him along? Why do you do what he wants? Do you like him?" I shouted in frustration.

Why does everything I live have to be associated with that Caucasian guy?

There was a strange pain stabbing into the heart. There was a feeling of disapproval that surged so intensely in the chest. There is a disappointment as far as the eye can see between the meaning of friend to best friend. In my mind or just my expectations.

I have tears that I can't hold back. Then it decomposes by itself under the shower. Even though my body was shaking, I couldn't move. There's still an annoyance. There's still anger...especially when I have to remember Septi's words before I left the cafeteria.

"Lo, don't be so calm. I can get you expelled from school!" said Septi shouted earlier. I can still clearly remember his screams in my mind.

"Please. But you also have to know, I can also make you leave school and make sure that no other school will accept you. The national exam will be coming soon. How come you ever get out of control?" Those are not the words that come out of my mouth. But Jon.

Meanwhile, I can only stand still when I hear it. Hearing the word out of school is not a new thing for me. It's just, the memory of the past comes again to say hello. And that's not a good thing, at least for me.

"What can you do?" said Septi to Jono.

"Anything, sis. Even your family, who is a politician can be threatened. Your uncle, who is the representative of the people." explained Jono, still in a voice as calm as the ocean.

"Are you bullying me for him?" Septi's index finger pointed at me.

"No. But you have brought power over this matter. You are not a child anymore who needs parental help to solve problems." said Jono, still with the same calm.

"Why? I like it. After all, they are my parents, not you. You have no right to forbid what I want." defended Septi fearlessly.

"So you want to play a game with your parents for real? Let's go to the BK room all. Let Ms. Septi be expelled from school today." Jon growled. Then pulled Septi out, just past me.

I heard, Septi scream struggling to let go of her hand. However, I already understand that Jono, who was as calm as the ocean, is now preparing to launch a tsunami without warning. No, earlier he had given a warning. And not Jono alias Jonathan if he couldn't prove what came out of his mouth.
