Terre Sol stormed off angrily. Garran followed after casting a reproachful glance behind. Even Racine and the other demons appeared taken aback. It was decided they would stay for one night at the Grand Mother's place as was the custom. Once the Grand Mother had taken her fill of Kyron, her interest turned to Clover.
Clover smiled in delight at the Grand Mother's cheerful disposition. They walked off into the woods together. Lucia felt strange watching them. She was forced to standby to these events she couldn't understand. She longed to go home, but she felt the weight of the void was crushing her will. She hoped the trials would end quickly. Then she could work on finding a way home.
