"Hey Kiliffia, where are you off to?" Kana asked while walking down the stairs from the second floor of the house.
"Oh, I h-have something to do today. I'll be back real soon. You should sleep in some more. It's not every day we get a day off from classes."
Kana looked at Kiliffia when she responded. She sensed that Kiliffia seemed agitated for some reason. She seemed to be avoiding looking at her. But before Kana could ask her anything else, Kiliffia had already rushed out the door, leaving a short "See you later."
Kana worried that Kiliffia might be in trouble, so she decided to follow Kiliffia just in case she may need some help. Kana felt that she should keep her distance and only intervene if something happens, so she left her home and started following Kiliffia from behind.
Once they arrived closer to town, it was harder for Kana to keep track of Kiliffia at a distance with so many people, so she decided to climb up to the rooftops of the buildings and watch from above. And so, one walking through the crowd from above, while another jumped from rooftop to rooftop watching from above.
After a few minutes, Kiliffia stopped at a small alleyway. She entered it only a little until she was covered by the shadows and proceeded to pull out a black cloak from the bag she was carrying. She wrapped herself up in the black cloak until no part of her body was visible anymore and left the alley.
Kana watched as Kiliffia did all this and was now sure that something was wrong. She felt that Kiliffia must be in danger but might be trying to handle it by herself. Kana felt sad that Kiliffia didn't rely on her in situations like this but still continued to follow her anyway. "Whether she needs my help or not, I'll just make sure she is safe."
Kiliffia continued walking through town for another 5-10 minutes until she stopped at another alleyway. This one was much bigger than the previous one where she put on the black cloak, it was at least 5 meters wide and had a few people going in and out of it.
After Kiliffia entered the alleyway, Kana quickly jumped to the rooftop on the right side of the alleyway so she could keep track of Kiliffia. However, once Kana landed on the roof, she could see that Kiliffia had already stopped in the middle of the alleyway in front of a door. She watched as Kiliffia moved her head left and right, look down both ways of the alleyway before opening the door and entering the building.
After Kiliffia walked through the door, Kana also looked at every part of the alleyway to check if anyone was following Kiliffia. Finding nothing, Kana jumped down into the alleyway and walked toward the door Kiliffia had entered.
Kana looked to the right of the door, where there was a large window about 2 meters wide and 1 meter high. Kana shifted towards the window with her back against the wall, then slowly peeked her head out to look through the window.
However, what she saw was something she couldn't believe. It seems like a shop, it was brightly lit, and she could see Kiliffia talking to someone standing behind a counter. But the strange thing was, the items being sold were tails!
There were tens of them, maybe even hundreds, placed all around the shop, from hanging on the walls to being placed inside glass cases, from big fluffy white tails to short skinny tails. It looked like every tail that belonged to an animal was there, even some tails that Kana thought to be fantasy, like a Succubus' tail.
"Why did Kiliffia come here?" Kana thought to herself.
Kana continued to watch Kiliffia talk to the person behind the counter while trying to contain her shock and confusion with what she was currently seeing. However, before Kana could calm herself down, she saw something even more shocking! Kiliffia had reached behind her, grabbed her tail, and pulled it right off!
Hanging in Kiliffia's hand was the large fluff fluff that Kana loved so much, while what remained behind at Kiliffia's rear was a thin white tail, similar to a cat's, that swayed left and right. It wasn't long, it wasn't wide, and it certainly wasn't fluffy!
Kana's eyes opened wider than you would think would be possible. If someone saw her right now, they would think she was a goldfish.
Kana's heart was racing as she couldn't believe what was happening. She felt betrayed. All the times that she had fluffed her fluff fluff in pure bliss and couldn't think of anything that could be better in the whole world. But now… She watched as Kiliffia placed her fluff fluff on the counter and pointed at different parts of the tail, talking as the shopkeeper wrote things down.
Kana couldn't stay there any longer. It was clear Kiliffia wasn't in danger. She just didn't want Kana to know she was lying to her the whole time about her tail.
Kana left the alleyway and walked back towards her home slowly with a blank look on her face, thinking about everything that happened in less than 10 minutes.
"When I see Kiliffia again, can I still smile at her and talk like normal? Can I pretend as if nothing happened? Can I fluff my fluff fluff and still feel happy?" While Kana walked back home slowly, all that other people could hear as she passed them was strange mumblings about fluff fluff this and fluff fluff that.

Finally returning home, Kana went back upstairs and entered her room. But she wasn't alone, Creige was still sleeping with the blanket barely covering his bottom half. A slight smile appeared on Kana's face as she undressed and got into bed with him. She rested her head on his chest and listened to his heartbeat as she slowly relaxed. At that moment, Kana felt like everything was still fine, even if the world were to be destroyed, as long as Creige was by her side, then she could face whatever comes.
As Kana traced her fingers across Creige's chest, it had ended up waking Creige up from his sleep.
"Are you alright?" Creige could feel that Kana was upset about something through their connection. He could feel the turmoil she was going through.
"Mm… Creige, if you found out someone's deepest secret, do you think you could pretend that everything is the same?" Although Kana felt at peace with Creige by her side, she still had to consider what comes next when she meets Kiliffia again.
"It depends, does that secret change the way you feel about them? Do you feel that you should keep it a secret that you know? Or do you feel that even if you tell them that you know their secret, your relationship will break apart?" Creige didn't know what this secret was or who it belonged to, but to him, all that mattered was how Kana felt. It didn't matter what Kana decided in the end, he would be by her side.
Kana though about all those questions and the different scenarios that would come from each decision that she could make.
Although Kana felt that she and Kiliffia would always be friends no matter what, it also depended on what Kiliffia thought. Did Kiliffia want to share this secret with her? Or did she never want it to be found out?
"Well… I'll think about it some more after I get some more sleep, I'm sure that we'll still be friends no matter what happens. Thanks Creige." Kana had fallen asleep right after she said that. She was mentally drained from everything that happened. But at least she had some ideas of what to do next and how things might turn out. Her fluff fluff will always be her fluff fluff, even if it's fake fluff.
