"Clan head, what should we do? If things actually go as the new Empress has stated, we will end up losing any position in the city. Right now, the commoners fear us, but if they gain equal rights, then what!?" A Fang clan elder asked.
"I know! But this does not change anything. No matter what happens, I highly doubt that the new Empress will be willing to go against the top families so easily." The Fang clan head replied. "For now, do things more discreetly until we can feel out the situation. If things begin to change too much in the favor of the weak, then we can change plans and try different tactics. Use the people we have in the palace to gain information for us. We must know what this new Empress wishes to do."
