Despite the fact that the creatures didn't have levels themselves, if Ash was understanding the rules that had been laid out correctly, then these creatures should have mana pools. So, Ash checked their statuses.

Okay, Ash thought, inhaling slowly, trying to calm her nerves. So, the one on the right is probably a mage. Now, hopefully, I won't- crap!

Ash reacted as she normally did. She dashed forward and moved to impale it before it could reach her. It was a move that normally worked well, as in "the real world", as Ash decided to call it due to the fact that this place felt like a dreamland, she had gotten enough Strength and Dexterity to tear through most enemies easily.
Here, on this occasion though, when Ash tried that she reached the demon and stabbed her sword through its body, but immediately, she felt the change.
