Chapter 1 - The Magic Blue Stone

Princess Quinn was standing in her father, King Hunter's throne room in front of him and her mother, Queen Anna. Her two brothers, Lance and Alexander were standing on her right side. Their father had called them in to talk to them about finding partners since they have reached the age, and how they needed to find a husband for Quinn.

"Father, I am ready to marry whoever you choose for me." Quinn, the youngest said obediently, and Anna smiled at her daughter, but Hunter only nodded sternly.

"I don't want to get married now. I just joined the army, and I want to serve this nation first before settling down." Lance, the second eldest protested, but their father was not displeased.

"Lance, you are a man and Alexander is next in line for the throne. You can marry when you want, serving our kingdom is important and a great duty." Anna glanced at her husband disapprovingly. She did not agree with what he was saying, but did not say anything.

Anna turned to Alexander, "What about you, Alexander? Do you have a maiden that you want to make your crown princess?"

"I-" Alexander started, but he was cut off by the doors to the throne room opening.

"Your Majesty, we're under attack!" The soldier general said, bowing.

Hunter was surprised. He stood up, "By who? We have been at peace with everyone for decades."

"It is the Seather Kingdom of the West, they have many soldiers and canons, but our men are not half of theirs."

Seather Soldiers entered the throne room at that moment. The ten guards there started fighting with them as Hunter turned to Anna who has stood up and walked to Quinn.

"Anna, take Quinn, run and hide inside. We'll come to you."

Alexander unsheathed his sword from his waist and joined the fight. Lance also did the same. "But how can you win? You should all come with us, they are too many."

"Let me fight too, I have been trained." Quinn argued too.

"Quinn, no." Anna protested grabbing hold of her hand to stop her.

"No, Princess. Follow your mother and come out only when we come to find you."

He did not wait to argue longer and turned around, unsheathing his own sword to join the fight. His sword clanked against a Seather soldier's sword running towards them. Quinn watched how more Seather soldiers came in, and how her kingdom was loosing the battle.

"Come, Quinn. We need to go." Her mother pulled her to go through the passage adjacent to the King and Queen's thrones.

She looked back again to see Lance pinned to the floor by a Seather soldier's boot. Alexander was outnumbered and was fighting a loosing battle. Her father was barely holding his own as the soldier kept slicing his sword through his sides as they fought.

Tears welled up in her eyes as she looked back to where they were going. The passage led them to Quinn's chamber room. They pushed the door open and entered it, Anna locked it behind them.

"Mother, what are we going to do? I think we are all going to die because we are fighting a loosing battle."

Anna hugged her to calm her down, "Everything will be alright Quinn. Remember that."

Anna released her from the hug and her last words made her remember her magic blue stone. She pulled it out from the pouch she tied around her waist. It was given to her by her grandmother and she told her that she can only use it in the matter of time or death. She had always carried it with her to remember her late grandmother.

The magic blue stone can only be used once and it has the power to call the demon King to fulfill your wish, but at a price. Her grandfather gave her grandmother the stone as a gift before he died and she passed it down to her before she died.

He told her grandmother that the demon King gave him the stone when he saved him from dark witches that put him in a magic cage. The demon King couldn't break out because of the magic on the cage. It was her grandfather that was passing by and saw him that opened the cage and let him out.

"Are you going to call him, Quinn?" Anna asked, referring to the demon King with concern on her face.

She looked up at her with tears still in her eyes, "Yes, we need him to save them."

Anna nodded, and Quinn held the stone with both hands enclosing it. "Demon King, I ask for your help. I am in need of your help to save my kingdom from death."

The stone glowed light blue in her hands then a white light appeared in the middle of the room and slowly, it formed into a very handsome man.

"Who called for my help?" His beautiful deep voice vibrated through the room. Quinn was speechless at first, she had never thought that a demon could be so handsome and attractive.

"I did. My family and kingdom are in danger. We are under attack and we need your help. Please save them." She pleaded and her mother added, "Please save them, King of the demons."

"My help comes at a price, it will be hard for you to pay it."

"I can pay your price, just please save us."

He looked at Quinn and saw how much she wanted to save her people and nodded. "I will save you, but I will come back later for my price."

He walked to the door and unlocked it. He walked out and made his way through the passage to the throne room. Quinn ran after him to see what he would do.

Upon re-entering the throne room, she saw that her father was pinned down with a sword to his neck, wounded and bleeding all over his body. Alexander was still swinging his sword fighting three soldiers at once while only five guards remained and were fighting twelve soldiers.

She couldn't see Lance, she looked around panicked when she saw that the soldier on top of her father thrusted his sword forward, about to run it through his neck. Quinn started running towards him to save him, but the demon King held her hand with his left hand and waved his right hand.

All the enemy soldiers dropped down dead on the floor. She was shocked at his power and turned to thank him, but saw that he has disappeared. She ran to her father and tried helping him up by pulling his arm up.

"Father, are you okay?"

"I will be." He coughed.

Alexander checked the Seather soldiers' fallen bodies as he placed his two fingers on their necks. He raised up as he realized they weren't breathing and looked around at the rest.

"They are all dead, how are they all dead?"
