The longer he spent these moments with Gavriel, talking to him, looking at him, his negative emotions were somehow being soothed. He felt as though his bitterness had slowly receded and become a lot better compared to before he had meet him. He felt as though meeting him and talking to him was like coming to terms with himself and the hatred and pain in his heart suddenly felt as though it was not as bad as he thought it was.
Maybe because he saw now what kind of a man Gavriel was. And he could not help but smile because this present version of him was actually a much better man compared to himself. Gavriel was not like him. Gavriel was everything he had ever wanted to be.
