In the middle of the day when Kence was still sleeping, his door was suddenly rudely opened by a man around his age. The man has bright pink hair with a height only amounting to 5'5
This man is Rhash Croel, the one that is considered Kence's best friend. His cute and adorable face was painted with a furious expression. A red blush even spreads from his cheeks down to his neck. Overall, his appearance was that of a cutie that is throwing a childish tantrum
"Kence Russel Crosmoner, how dare you not attend our shoot today while ignoring my calls and messages?! Do you have a death wish?! Come here, I'll --"
Rhash shouted loudly but before he can even finish his words, a pillow was already thrown into his face
"Who dares to disturb my sleep this early in the morning?! Let's see if I won't beat you up whoever you are!"
Kence currently felt like shit. He doesn't know why but he felt a sense of coldness spreading in his body. It was endurable but it also wasn't a pleasant thing
Kence is already in discomfort yet someone actually dared to disturb his sleep?! Don't they know that Kence hates it when someone woke him up too early?
If there are morning person in this world, Kence is definitely not one of them
"K-Kence you b-bully and it's already afternoon!" Rhash shouted angrily. The pillow from before landed on his face and he felt a stinging pain from it
Recognizing Rhash's voice, Kence used up all of his willpower to sat in the bed with an irritated expression. His fierce gaze landed on his good best friend that immediately shuddered in fear before puffing his cheeks as he regained some of his confidence
"Y-you ... s-stop glaring at me! Don't you know my handsome and manly face is my biggest selling point?! How can you damage it!"
No matter how Kence looks at this friend of his, this man really looks like a dumb and innocent brat. He doesn't even know why Rhash became his best friend
As Kence is not in the mood, he decided to end this thing faster and hit Rhash where it will hurt him the most
"Shut up shorty!"
Just like what Kence expected, Rhash started kneeling on the ground with tears in his eyes. His heart was filled with so much resentment and indignation that he clenches his fist hard
"Damn you tall people!" Rhash cursed with the best he can. As a rich Young Master of an influential family, why wasn't he bestowed with a towering height just like the male lead from the novels?!
Kence gave a haughty chuckle as a response before he stops beating around the bush
"Rhash Croel, I'm telling you, I won't go drinking with you today. I already told you many times to stop wasting time on such a useless thing as love but you never listened to me! Look at how many times you got hurt, haven't you learned enough?"
Knowing how Rhash's simple mind works, it was too easy for Kence to read him. Besides, this is a common occurrence already. Rhash wouldn't cause such a ruckus like this if he doesn't have any love problems again
"Why are you so cruel to your friend?! I am currently heartbroken and you won't even take responsibility. What kind of friend are you?!"
Kence rolled his eyes. If his friend just listened to him and stops chasing love, would he even continuously get heartbroken?
Love is such an uncontrollable thing. You never know when that love will vanish leaving you the one in pain
"Come here, sit with me" Kence said while patting the part of the bed in his side causing Rhash to look at him warily
"Y-you won't hit me, right?" Rhash asked while raising his guard but Kence just gave him an 'innocent smile' and his guard was fully melted away
"When did I ever hit you?" Kence asked innocently causing Rhash to remember quite a lot of traumatizing experience he had
"Kence Russel, I'm warning you! Don't hit me or else I'll really get angry"
Kence can't stop himself from rolling his eyes again and gave another pat on the bed with a stronger force than before
"Cut the nonsense!"
"Yes sir!"
The naive and easy to trick Rhash went to Kence's side like a puppy ready to receive some advice and comfort but what greeted him was another pillow
"You frustrating shorty! How dare you get angry at me? It should be me that needs to be angry! I always give you advice and counseling while drinking whenever you will have another failed endeavor in love yet you never learned! You're making my blood boil in anger!"
Kence repeatedly gave his "comfort" to his friend using the pillow causing Rhash to shamelessly cling to him while crying
"Kence you meanie! I'm already heartbroken but you still hurt me. You are so heartless!"
In disgusts, Kence tried to push Rhash away but the sticky cake was just too sticky and wouldn't leave him alone
"Shoo! Move away from me, I don't want to get sick because of your snot!"
"My snot won't give you an infectious disease!"
If someone saw the great actor Rhash acting like a child, just how would his fans react? They might rub their eyes multiple times as they would doubt what their eyes were seeing
"Who knows if you really won't give me an infectious disease? Move away!"
"No! Tell me your secret first! How can you secure the God Calter Sternix?! I need a perfect lover like him!"
With those words, Kence's mood instantly plummeted down. Perfect lover? That was what Kence initially thought of Calter. But what kind of perfect lover will let their childhood sweetheart and family continuously make trouble for the one they love?
Sensing the abnormalities from his friend, Rhash raises his head to see Kence gritting his teeth hard with a dark look on his face
Rhash panics and immediately stops clinging to Kence. "W-what's with that look. I-I'm sorry, don't get angry at me!"
Kence took a deep breath to calm himself and masked his real emotions. Just the mention of Calter's name was enough to make him feel this troubled. How weak of him, where does the Kence Russel that has a heart of a stone when it comes to love goes? He wishes that he can go back to his former self
"Don't give me that wronged look, fine, you win! Let's go drinking today" Kence said while pinching Rhash's nose tightly. Now that he thinks of it, it wouldn't be bad to go out for a drink. It can make him temporarily forget things and have some fun
"Aww! Your hand is so cold!" Rhash complained and before Kence can answer, both of their senses were suddenly assaulted by domineering pheromones that make them feel like a giant dragon was staring at them
This familiar pheromone isn't unfamiliar to Kence and it causes him to frown. When Kence looks at his door, he saw Calter standing there with a cup of cold chocolate drink that is his favorite
It was not hard to guess why Calter suddenly releases his pheromones like this. Calter has always been jealous of Rhash especially when he and Kence has some skinship
However, unlike Calter's Eriel, Rhash is completely different. There was simply no reason to suspect that they are having an affair unlike Calter's childhood sweetheart
Calter also knew that the two are only friends but he was always jealous when Kence is having some physical contact with other people. Calter has quite the possessiveness and doesn't want Kence to have too much skinship with Rhash but it was him that always pamper and sided with a woman he already had a relationship in the past
Talk about hypocrisy. Calter's actions just made Kence angrier at him
With a cold tone, Kence spoke. "Put away your damn pheromones. You know how much I hate being pressured by it"
Kence was in better condition since he is already a bit used to Calter's pheromones. If not for Calter's lineage, Kence's own pheromones wouldn't lose at him
However, Rhash is different. He came from another special family but one's pheromones are also affected by their mentality. The weaker and more innocent a person's mind is the lower their resistance towards pheromones. Thus, Rhash felt really suffocated because of Calter and it was extremely uncomfortable
Calter becomes dissatisfied with Kence. His boyfriend suddenly left in the middle of the night and when he called and texted him numerous times, he didn't receive any reply
Calter even personally got Kence an iced chocolate drink as he thought that he might have done something wrong. But the lover that didn't contact him was actually being this lovey-dovey with another man, how can Calter not be dissatisfied?
"What's wrong with you?" Calter asked directly. He isn't a man that will let a problem grow and he prefers dealing with it as soon as possible. That was one of the reasons why he can withstand Kence's childishness and stubbornness
"Nothing, I have plans with Rhash today. I'll see you next time"
Kence went out of his bed and was about to exit his room as he doesn't want to be with Calter any longer but he was suddenly grabbed in the arm
The two received some sort of electric shock from that physical contact before Calter frowned
"Why is your body cold?"
Kence's body was not as cold as this before. Could he be sick?
"It's nothing to be concerned for. Rhash, come here now. Let's go" Kence said while removing Calter's hand from his arm although he was unwilling
This stupid Rhash, it was already taking all of Kence to continue this cold show. Why is his good-for-nothing friend just sitting there dumbly as if he was watching some show?
"O-okay but change your clothes first! How can a big star like you wear that clothes outside?"
This Rhash didn't really know how to read the atmosphere and Kence almost beat him on the spot
"You're rich, you can just buy me clothes. Let's go! Stop dilly-dallying"
Rhash instinctively knew that he wouldn't have a good ending if he won't obey His Majesty Kence and he dragged his body away from the comfort of the bed
Kence starts walking again but he was grabbed in the arm for the second time
"If we have a problem, let's talk. Stop acting like this" Calter said out of worry. Kence's body really felt much colder than usual. It wouldn't be good if Kence went out today with this condition
The warmth from Calter's concern gently caresses Kence's heart. At that time, he really wants to engulf Calter with a hug and inhale his scent. However, as soon as he imagined that, all the sufferings he experienced once again flooded his mind causing his heart to turn cold
"I'm not a child with a weak body. I can take care of myself"
Kence sped off to avoid Calter in fear that his heart won't be able to endure anymore. He can already hear his own heartbeat due to how fast it was beating
Seeing Kence almost running, Rhash panics and went after him before suddenly stopping in front of Calter
"God Calter, don't worry. I will have him spill the beans. Arguments are normal in a relationship, it can strengthen a lover's bond!" After finishing his words, Rhash chased at his friend again leaving Calter alone that felt like someone stab a knife in his heart
The nightmare from before of Kence leaving him overwhelmed Calter's mind and he felt severe pain all over his body
Calter was too focus on enduring the pain and he hasn't realized that his eye and hair color is changing. His eyes once again turned into a chaotic combination of blue and purple that looks like a galaxy while his hair turned into pitch-black color
His blood boiled aggressively and a hazy and indistinguishable image formed above him
