Fortunately, Seraphine did manage to get her lie bought.
Eric and Merlin decided not to question her any further. They still had to deal with the aftermath of the whole pandemonium, which left them little time to look further into the mysterious death of the wasteland monster. She doubts that they will not hold an investigation on it at a later date, though.
In the meantime, Seraphine has settled down at the sideline, taking that opportunity to recover from all the shell-shocking, mind-blowing events that happened to her for the last hours. She thought about the succubus who possessed her, the first unleashing of her dark magic, and everything else that had something to do with those. For a long moment, she tried to take it all in.
That was until Eric appeared in the scene all of the sudden, making her snap out of her thoughts.
"I'm glad that you're able to make it out alive..." he started as he walked closer to her, still looking as enigmatic as ever.
