Seraphine did manage to sneak in the underground bar while pretending to apply for work, but that costed her a lot more than she bargained for.
For one, she didn't get to find Clement anywhere at all. She tried to look around the place, but she later learned that he was out for that night. In the end, she didn't get to see him. Still, at the very least, she did get to confirm that he's working in that pub.
Secondly, she got accepted way too quickly. She did not expect that she would get hired. It was so easy that it was somewhat suspicious - while it could just be that they were running out of entertainers, it did not make sense that they would take her in without much consideration.
And they're even supposed to be an underground dealing. She thought that they would be more careful than this and that they would pay more attention on choosing those who'd work for them.
