"Boom", a loud sound came from the stone chair where Zhan Chen was seating. The stone chair was crushed into many pieces but to the astonishment of Lu clan experts, Zhan Chen was able to avoid the attack in the nick of the time.
"Elder, receive my attack now", Zhan Chen spoke from the side. He joined two of his fingers and swung his hand. An incredible sharp energy beam went shooting towards the Lu clan elder in a breathtaking speed.
The elder in the receiving end of the attack felt an existential crisis when the sharp energy beam approached his body. He hurriedly made a shield out of his essence energy and tried to defend himself.
The energy beam left a hole on the shield surface but it couldn't penetrate the last layer of the shield. The elder felt cold sweat on his forehead after he managed to parry the attack somehow.
