Li Qingzhao looked at Zhan Chen with a puzzled look on her face. She could see that Zhan Chen was serious and she had never seen her son so serious before. Zhan Qingyue and little Tao also looked at Zhan Chen with curious expression on their faces.
"Mother, I actually never intended to talk about this with you but I want to make sure of something. So, I am asking for your forgiveness in advance", Zhan Chen looked towards his mother.
He knew his words would reopen the wound in his mother's heart but he also wanted her to learn the actual truth. So, he asked for her forgiveness in advance.
Li Qingzhao furrowed her brows slightly but she still nodded her head. There was a questioning look on her face as she looked towards Zhan Chen.
"Mother, does Ziming Yue has anything against us?", Zhan Chen looked towards his mother.
"Ziming Yue, which Ziming Yue? Are you talking about your aunt?", Li Qingzhao asked with a puzzled expression on her face.
"Yes mother, I am asking about that aunt of mine", Zhan Chen nodded his head.
"Why are you asking? Has she done something to you?", Li Qingzhao furrowed her pretty eye brows.
"Mother, have you noticed one thing? I couldn't progress in my cultivation no matter how hard I have tried", Zhan Chen spoke with a profound look on his face.
Li Qingzhao nodded her head as it was the exact problem that was bothering her since a long time. Zhan Chen was initially a talented child. He attained the Meridian opening realm while he was only twelve but he had no progress since then.

"When did I say anything against uncle?", Zhan Chen looked at his mother with a smile.
Li Qingzhao became speechless for a while then something struck her brain.
"Is it Ziming Yue? But how is it possible? She didn't do anything against you", Li Qingzhao looked at him with a confused expression on her face.

"It is good. Chen-er, God has not abandoned us yet", she held the hand of Zhan Chen with an agitated expression on her face. Drops of tear slid past her pretty looking face as she looked towards her son.
"Aunt, what happened to Zhan Chen?', came the agitated voice of Zhan Qingyue.
"Qingyue, your brother's body has recovered", Li Qingzhao spoke while trying to hold her tears.
"You don't know the exact condition of your brother's body but it was very severe. I thought without a third level or fourth level healing pill, he couldn't recover", Li Qingzhao explained to Zhan Qingyue.
"It was so severe! How dare the Gu clan treat little Chen like this", Zhan Qingyue spoke with agitation and fury. She knew that the Gu clan had beaten Zhan Chen severely but she thought It was just some broken bones. Now that she had found out the exact condition, she felt agitated like never before.

"Mother, big sis, little Tao", Zhan Chen called out every one present.
"Please keep my recovery secret to everyone. If outsiders know about my recovery, it will cause a ruckus", he spoke with a serious looking face.
Li Qingzhao knew the gravity of this matter, so, she immediately agreed. Zhan Qingyue also wouldn't leak such a thing. They left soon after so that Zhan Chen could take some rest. Before leaving, Li Qingzhao informed him about her relationship with his aunt.
