I thought everything would be okay and that we would not encounter problems with Jaden's alter anymore. But I was wrong.
I noticed he's been spending time with Alora. They would talk before and after breakfast. I caught them inside the library talking about something but when they saw me, Alora glanced coldly at me and left without a word.
I was scared to ask what was happening and didn't confront Jayden about Alora. I was jealous of my friend. Not because they were cheating on me and Luke, but because Alora could understand Jayden more than I do.
They had the same illness and could support each other. I knew Jayden felt like I couldn't understand what he was going through. And I sometimes question myself if I could really bear his illness for the rest of our lives or if it was just mere words from a lonely wife.
