It was a very serious question and the secrecy of it must have to be maintained that's why he made sure to ask the prince to withdraw all the knights and workers from the garden before they can start their conversation.
But that question didn't hit the crown prince in a right point. He scoffed mocking the priest for such a weird question. Even for a few seconds he wondered if the high priest was in his right mind.
