With the knocking sound, Emily woke up from her deep sleep. She found herself in a warm embrace that too in a spooning position. She realised it was Martin as she reminisced about last night's conversation. Without disturbing his sleep, she got off the bed. Slowly she walked to the door and opened it.
As soon as she opened the door, she noticed Steven standing at the entrance.
" Good morning…Emily. I hope you slept well last night! " he greeted her with a smile.
She was startled to see him. " You are here? " she questioned him.
" Yeah… I wanted to know … whether he felt comfortable with you? I mean … any sign of gaining his memory? " he said.
Just then, Martin woke from his sleep on hearing some noise in the room. But he pretended as if he was sleeping. He wanted to listen to their conversation with closed eyes.
" He used to loathe you but how can you still feel so concerned about him? " she questioned him.
