He had been gazing at the golden fish statue when the door to the study was suddenly slammed open and Elena rushed in with a worried look.
"S-sorry, but can you please hide for a while?! My husband can't tolerate anyone around me and he's downstairs already!" She stammered anxiously. "Ah! There! Please hide over there!" Elena pointed at the narrow space behind the sofa.
Ryley was confused at first, but he nodded understandingly and did as she said. "Okay, okay."
"J-just stay there first, okay?! I'm really sorry for the—" Elena flinched in shock and sharply turned around with a stiff smile on her face when the door to her study was opened.
"I-Is there a problem in the company? What kind of important matters you want to discuss that you went straight home?" She muttered as her brisk steps led towards her husband, but the man went straight for the golden fish statue and moved it slightly to the left.
