Nolan couldn't help but drop his jaw at Skylar's words, looking completely baffled and speechless. Before he could say something in return, however, Sean's figure had descended the staircase.
"Uncle Nolan?" The man didn't expect Nolan to also show up here out of the blue. But when his blue eyes searched for an answer towards the twins, both Skylar and Starla shrugged their shoulders, as if telling him that they were just as clueless as he was.
"There he is." Nolan stood up from his seat and held out his arms for a brief hug. "Sorry, I didn't tell you in advance that I would like to visit here. I couldn't help it. I really miss my sweet Ciara after you sent me her pictures." He added with a contrived smile painting his face.
