"You two are dating?" Simon asked after they were able to escape all the crowd and find a quieter spot outside.
Oliver looked at his face. He couldn't tell what Simon was thinking about since his face was plain. "We are not. I just said that."
"Let him be!" Amanda pulled Simon away from Oliver. "Why are you harassing him?"
"I wasn't harassing him."
"He wasn't harassing me."
The two boys defended at the same time.
"If you two aren't dating, why did you say you were?" Simon sighed in relief and asked Oliver.
"So what's your problem if he said we were dating?"
"Calm down Amy. I should apologize to you. I know I startled you back there. I just... I felt it would be easier for me if everyone thought you were my girlfriend. I don't want too much attention from anyone."
