The way he was always on the edge and looked like he was scared of the world, had been his way of life for years, especially when he realized he was gay and couldn't come out to either his family or friends. He hadn't had a direct confrontation with Liam when he was still in high school because they rarely bumped into each other. Liam was a junior, and they had separate classes.
