Gerald reached the shrine at the right time to attend the morning prayers. He stood outside the sixty-year-old rusted gate that was conquered by the green tendrils. As soon as Gerald neared the place, he was gobsmacked by the intense vibes of the place.
He didn't recall the last time he had come to stand in front of that gate, let alone step inside it. Perhaps because he had never been there.
He never felt a need to be there. Why would he go there? To offer his prayers to God or to ask him to always bless him with happiness?
Gerald couldn't beg to God when God was the reason for his miserable life. He stole everything from Gerald, always depriving him of the happiness that everyone else had.
So Gerald had no reason to go there. But today, it was different. He went there to see why Lord Ralph spend his time in the shrine with the priest. His intuitions told him that it had something to do with that magical chalice.
