"Boooo!"
Gerald heard the familiar ringing laughter before Theodora came to sit beside him. She was laughing heartily, and it was contagious. It brought a small smile to Gerald's face as he stared at her. How she looked so free and careless when she laughed naturally, shedding away her layers of pretence! She looked so human that it made him feel great.
Theodora noticed him staring at her for a long between her laughs. His intense unwavering gaze made her conscious, and she sobered up instantly.
"What are you looking at?"
"You!" He answered without missing a beat.
Theodora felt her heart jump for joy at his answer. "M-me?"
Gerald tucked her hair behind her ear with a smile. "You look beautiful when you laugh."
