Chapter 28 - Misunderstood

Five minutes had passed since Allynna sat in the car. Her mind flashed back to what Leon had done to her before leaving the Mansion.

Allynna placed her hand on her forehead on the spot where Leon's touched. Nothing felt different on it. But she knew something had happened for sure. At least now, her mind had become calmer, and the most surprising thing was that she understood all about the history of this empire.

Anything she wanted to know about history could appear in her mind as if there was a search engine in her mind.

She was excited and, simultaneously, scared when she realized that Leon was so powerful and knew how to do magic; He could read other people's minds and even inject things into people's minds easily.

Allynna looked at Geoffrey, who drove the car.

Only the two of them were in the car; Leon didn't come with them. After transferring the knowledge of history into her brain, he went straight into the house without seeing her get into the car.

"Sir, no, I mean, Geoffrey… Can I ask you a question?" Allynna asked.

"Yes, My Lady..." Geoffrey answers while quick glance at her thru the rearview mirror.

"May I know why Leon hates me?" This question was one of the top ten questions in her mind. Allynna was curious because Leon rarely talked to her. He would only speak if she asked or something very important.

Geoffrey was surprised at Lady Allynna's question. How could she think that Crown Prince Eloen didn't like her?

The Crown Prince was known for his aloof and stiff manner; however, around this woman, he was free to express himself.

During this time, Crown Prince Eleon had never been close to anyone, let alone talk to them. Only his family and friends have the privilege of hearing his voice and seeing his face.

"My Lady, it seems you have misunderstood Sir Leon. He doesn't hate you as you think. However, he is typically a loner. So, I hope you can understand his nature," Geoffrey wanted to say more about the Crown Prince, but he set it aside, fearing what he said could backfire on him in the future.

"Is that true?" Allynna eyes glimmered at Geoffrey's words.

"Yes, My Lady. I can guarantee he didn't hate you."

"Geoffrey, thank you for telling me this. I really appreciate it..." Allynna said happily. She felt a little happier. She didn't feel disappointed anymore because Leon didn't accompany her to school. Maybe Leon has work right now, so he doesn't have time. Allynna is trying to think positively now.

Allynna didn't ask Geoffrey anymore. She let Geoffrey drive in peace.

With a smile on her face, Allynna turned her head out the window to enjoy the beautiful morning view. It didn't take long; their car had entered the Sarlun city area. A few minutes later, the vehicle stopped not far from the school gate.

"My lady, I will come to pick you up here," Geoffrey glanced at her. "—good luck with the exam, don't be nervous."

Allynna thanked Geoffrey while returning his smile. She immediately stepped out of the car. She had 5 minutes left before the final exam started.

When Allynna didn't see anyone in the schoolyard, she started to worry and ran fast to her classroom. She was relieved when she entered her classroom; the exam had not yet started.

"Oh my, Ally, where have you been!?" Lizzy, who had been worried because Allynna hadn't appeared, immediately approached her.

Allynna replied to her with a faint smile.

Lizzy leaned her head closer to Allynna, "I'm serious; where have you been? I went to your house last night, but you weren't there. This morning, I also went to your house, and you didn't even open a door for me after I almost broke your door," she paused while narrowing her eyes at Allynna.

"Girl, don't lie to me. I even called you many times, but you didn't answer my call. Where did you sleep, Ally?" She asked suspiciously.

Since last night, Lizzy even intended to report to the police if her best friend didn't show up today. Lizzy felt very relieved when she saw Allynna appear in class. But now, she was suspicious; where had Allynna spent the night? At the hotel? Why did she choose to spend a night at the hotel?

If a problem at her house made her unable to stay there, Allynna would look for her and stay at her home, right? But this girl didn't do that. She just disappeared.

Lizzy is now staring at Allynna with a curious gaze, waiting for her to explain everything.

"Lizzy," Allynna whispered to her. Lizzy's body felt tense, anticipating the reasons she would give. "—The exam is about to start. I think now the teacher is waiting for you to return to your seat, My dear friend..." she grinned looking at shocking Lizzy. She looked straight ahead at the teacher.

Lizzy turned pale after finding out that the supervising teacher had asked her to sit down several times. Still, she was so immersed in her confrontation with Allynna that she didn't hear the teacher calling out to her.

'Damn!!' Lizzy cursed while quickly sat back in her chair. Her face felt red because she was so embarrassed to be stared at by the entire class with their strange looks.

Not long after, they all focus on their exam quizzes.

Allynna felt very happy looking at the test paper, all the answers seemed to appear in her mind. She quickly resolved all the questions. About 10 minutes later, she filled in all the answers.

A faint smile appeared on Allynna's face when she felt like she was cheating.

Yes, this could be cheating because she got that knowledge from Leon who conveyed all that in her mind this morning.

If she had known long ago that Leon could do that, she would not have wasted her time reading those thick history books.
