'Broken' wasn't the word Nevaeh had expected her sister to be addressed with. For what she knew of the word she dreaded it's use on her sister for the fear of what it might mean, and the faintest imagination already revulsed her.
Her brown eyes glowed with indignation over Engel's choice of word. "What do you mean by that?" She asked. How could her sister be broken?
She heard him sigh. His gentle hands reached for her face and his fingers gently stroke her cheek, a failed attempt to set at ease the anger brewing inside of her.
"Let's go home. I'll tell you everything you long to know." He said, while Nevaeh frowned.
